LIVE MUSIC

From Rock, acoustic to country...McGourty's has it! We regularly have local favourites La Bamba, Lick my Stereo, renowned group Lightening Strikes, up and coming band The Hot Sprockets and The Dublin City Ramblers all playing for us....We encourage new talent and every weekend there is live music waiting for you...check local press and facebook for this weeks music!

TRAD SESSIONS

We love our Irish heritage and Traditional Irish music sessions are frequent in Mc Gourty's. In association with Ceolthas Castlerea sessions of music, sing-a-long and Irish" craic "are always to be had..

SEASONAL CELEBRATIONS

In McG's Bar, we never let an event go by without marking the occasion and we've got seasonal events running all year round!

 
  • Halloween dress parties
  • Christmas - which we do in our very own style, including a fun Christmas Jumper Party!
  • Our famous New Year's bash
  • Valentines specials for both couples and singles
  • Easter Egg hunts
  • The renowned Rose of Castlerea Festival every August, when we run live music for five nights!
  • Everything from Arthur's Day to Garth Brook's Tribute nights are celebrated throughout the year. 
  • Of course, let's not forget St Patrick's Day - when we literally party like a Paddy!!

Charity & Community events play a big part in the McGourty's Bar  Calendar, and are hugely important to us. You have already helped us support loads of great Causes, Charities & our Community. So, if you want to get involved, make sure you keep in touch.
